MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed mutual rejection of the US course aimed at interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and exerting political and military pressure, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said on Thursday.

"There was a substantive exchange of views on the situation in a number of regions of the world, including in the Middle East, where the approaches of Russia and China in favor of a political and diplomatic settlement of the Palestinian problem within a generally recognized international legal framework completely coincide ... The current situation in Ukraine was also touched upon," the statement said.
In addition, the Chinese leader has expressed his support for the priorities of the Russian presidency in
BRICS.

Joint Energy Projects Promotion
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed readiness to promote joint energy projects despite sanctions, Yury Ushakov added.
"During the conversation, much attention was paid to issues of energy cooperation ...The progress of the implementation of major Russian-Chinese joint projects in the energy sector was discussed... [the leaders] confirmed readiness for further work to promote them [energy projects], despite attempts by Western countries to exert pressure by imposing unilateral illegitimate sanctions," Ushakov noted.

Ushakov confirmed that Putin and Xi had also discussed financial cooperation between the nations, adding that
